Borrowing

Lending service is extended to all library members and UniMAP community. Items available for borrowing including Open Shelf Collections, Course Reference Collections, Special Collections and Leisure Reading Collections.

Items from Serials Collections and Reference Collections are restricted for in house used only. However, these items are available for limited borrowing period for academic staff. Please forward your request via voice mail to +604-9885402.

Online Reservation

Online reservation provides systematic way of getting relevant item which is being borrowed by other users. Needed item can be hold by library users and this will avoid any renewal attempts by present borrower. Reservation is carried out online on Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary loan is a service whereby a patron of one library can borrow comprehensive type of materials such as books, theses, articles, conference proceedings, reports, annual reports and many others and / or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library. UniMAP Library provide access to unavailable materials through our network with Malaysian Libraries and OCLC Consortium Libraries.

Digital Repositories

DSpace is built to store, share and search UniMAP's research and scholarly materials. UniMAP Library Digital Repository provides access to thousands of scholarly materials produced by UniMAP community. You will also find other relevant materials such as full text content of theses, past year exam papers, selected government circulars, speeches, reports, and many others. Contribute now and make your publications accessible online!

Items in Transit

Library items are located at three different libraries ; the main library at Pauh Putra Campus, City Branch at Kangar and Digital Hub at UniCiti. In transit provides facility for library users to borrow items from both libraries without visiting them. Process online reservations for available items on Online and choose to pick up location.

Reserve item will be processed and sent to the requesting library, either in Pauh Putra, Kangar or UniCiti. Notification email will be sent to library users, requesting them to pick-up reserved item at selected library.

Remote Access

Remote access facility via EzProxy server allows users to access million of full test articles from various online publishers platforms at anytime, anywhere as long as they are connected to the Internet. Our e-resources contents are being accessed by users either within or outside the campus network.

Online Renewal

Intergrated Library Systems allows users to renew borrowed books online, remote from their home and office. Users can process online renewal via the library system at anytime, anywhere as long as they are able to connect to the internet.

Please take note that reserved items are not available for renewal.

Renewals via Phone

Item renewals via phone is a personalized service provided for academic staff and postgraduate students. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to forward your item renewals request. You need to supply us complete information of your staff ID, Identification Card (IC) or passport number and your patron ID for verification process. Most importantly, users need to forward their request at least 2 days before item's due date to avoid unnecessary overdue fines.

User Education

The library offers many information resources from various online publishers platform. Users need to understand their scope and searching features in order to use these resources wisely. In order to do so, users are advised to enroll in our user education sessions, which are being held from time to time.
